Raw news is the starting material. It is distilled into a record of facts: what was claimed, how many separate publishers carried it, and when it was first and last seen. Your newsroom writes from that record.
A fact in the record has an identity, a version chain, and a receipt on every step it took. A fact is never edited and never deleted. When the world moves, the fact is superseded on the record, and both the old and the new stay, each with its receipt.
Facts are counted by how many separate publishers carried them. The record says "N publishers," never a stronger word than the count earns. A count is not a verdict on whether a fact is true. Where publishers disagree on a number, the record shows the disagreement rather than picking a side.
Each piece is written from facts and their cross-source picture, stands on more than one source, and carries a receipt you can check. Some facts are first-party readings from DRM3's own instruments, which a publisher cannot scoop. See the TruthFoundry Terms for how the record works.
