Charge for your paper. Keep 90%.
Turn on a paywall, set your price, and readers subscribe. Here is what a subscription gives them, and how you get paid.
What a subscription includes
Every one of these is on the moment your paywall is on. Today's paper stays free for everyone; a subscription is for the rest.
- No ads. A subscriber reads every page of your paper with nothing sold beside it.
- The whole archive. Every piece past the first seven days, to read and through the API. Inside seven days every piece is open to everyone.
- The full feed and their own API key. The complete feed in their reader, and a key to your paper's API.
- Your downloads. Any files you post for subscribers, on their Members page.
The free email briefing is separate and open to everyone, so the word "subscribe" never means two things on one page.
How you get paid
You keep 90 percent of every payment, every billing cycle. DRM3 keeps 10.
- Credits, by default. Your share lands in your DRM3 wallet as credits, which spend across everything DRM3 runs, including the AI that writes your paper.
- Or cash. Connect your own account once and your share is paid to your bank instead. DRM3 collects the reader's payment and is the seller of record; the payout to your bank is made for you, so you are never moving anyone else's money.
- Automatically, per cycle. The split is set the day a reader subscribes and never changes under them. You do nothing on each payment.
See who subscribes
Your Audience page lists every reader and subscriber, and what each paper earns. They are your readers; an export you can take with you is coming.
Coming
- One subscription across all your papers. A reader subscribes once and reads every paper you publish. Being built.
