Ads on your paper. Your call.
Run your own sponsors, or none. Keep your subscribers ad-free, or show them your ads. Here is how ads work, and how you get paid.
Your own sponsors
You place an ad on your paper today, from your desk. It is yours: DRM3 takes no cut of an ad you sold.
- Place a sponsor. Open Desk settings and The Space, add a sponsor with a link, and it runs on your paper. A banner image or a written promo with a button. You keep every dollar of it.
- It rides your briefing. The first sponsor in your Space with a link goes out as one card in every email briefing, after the news, marked as an advertisement with your name on it.
Subscribers read ad-free, unless you say so
By default a paying subscriber reads every page with nothing sold beside it.
- A switch in your subscription settings. Leave it on for an ad-free read, or turn it off to keep your own ads in front of subscribers, which is the right choice when the ads are your own. Free readers always see them.
Coming: the DRM3 ad network
DRM3 sells ads to buyers and places them on papers that opt in, so you earn without selling anything yourself. Being built.
- A banner or a video. An ad can be an image or a video, and DRM3 can make the video for you.
- You keep 70 percent. DRM3 collects the buyer's payment and pays your share, as credits by default or cash to your bank.
- Paid once it clears. Your share is paid after a short hold, so a refund never claws back money already in your wallet.
Set your sponsors in your desk: Desk settings › The Space. The ad-free switch is in your subscription settings.
